Vacuum and Pressure Attenuation Leak Testing
How the MFT-600 and MFT-1000 leak testers work: vacuum and pressure attenuation, sensitivity, minimum detectable aperture and supporting services.
Measurement methods
The MFT-600 uses the vacuum attenuation (vacuum decay) method. It is semi-automatic, non-destructive, and converts the measured leak rate automatically into a defect aperture in μm.
The MFT-1000 supports both vacuum attenuation and pressure attenuation. Its test chamber sits above the main unit and is customized to the customer's product.
Sensitivity compared
| Parameter | MFT-600 | MFT-1000 |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum detectable aperture | 2 μm | 1.5 μm |
| Test sensitivity | 0.00057 sccm | 0.00057 sccm |
| Differential pressure sensor | -2 to 2 kPa, error ≤ 0.5% F.S. | -2 to 2 kPa, error ≤ 0.5% F.S. |
| Differential pressure resolution | 0.1 Pa / 0.01 Pa | 0.1 Pa / 0.01 Pa |
| Pressure test range | -0.1 to 0.2 MPa; -0.1 to 0.7 MPa; -0.1 to 1.0 MPa | -0.1 to 0.2 MPa; -0.1 to 0.7 MPa; -0.1 to 1.0 MPa |
| Weight | 19 kg | 51 kg |
